1. What is pathological fracture?

     Ans: Bone fracture caused by a disease that led to the weakness of the bone structure.

2. Where is the location of Navicular bone?

     Ans: A boat-shaped bone located in the top inner side of the foot

3. What is osteoporosis?

     Ans: Thinning bones, bones to become weak and brittle.

4. What is nonunion?

     Ans: A broken bone fails to heal.

5. What is external fixation?

     Ans: Metal pins or screws are placed into the broken bone through small incisions into the skin and muscle. The pins and screws are attached to a bar outside the skin.

6. What is delayed union?

     Ans:  Fracture takes longer than usual time to heal.

7. Where is the location of occipital bone?

    Ans: Situated at the back and lower part of the cranium/ Head.

8. What is osteopenia?

    Ans: Bone density is lower than normal density but not low enough to be classified as osteoporosis.

9. Which are the long bones in the human body, give some examples?

    Ans: Femur, Humerus, Tibia, Radius and fibula.

10. What is amputation?

      Ans: Surgical removal of all or part of a limb or extremity such as an arm, leg, foot, hand, toe, or finger.

11. What is hairline fracture?

      Ans: Minute cracks on the bones

12. Where is the location of sphenoid bone?

      Ans: A butterfly-shaped cranial bone located in the middle of the skull

13. What is joint manipulation?

      Ans:  A type of passive movement of a skeletal joint

14. What is tibial plateau fracture?

      Ans: Break in the continuity of the bone occurring in the proximal/top part of the tibia

15. What is the difference between subluxation and dislocation?

      Ans: Dislocation is a complete displacement of bones that form a joint. A subluxation is an incomplete or partial dislocation.

16. What is osteomyelitis?

      Ans: An infection in a bone.

17. Where is the location of ulna?

      Ans: One of the two long bones in the forearm, the inner side of the forearm.

18. What is stress fracture?

      Ans: Overuse and repetitive activity cause a break in the bone.

19. Where is the location of lunate bone?

      Ans: It is situated in the proximal row carpal bones, in the hand.

20. What is arthroplasty?

      Ans: The surgical reconstruction or replacement of a joint.

21. Which are the short bones in the human body, give some examples?

      Ans: Carpals in the wrist and tarsals in the ankle.

22. What is the shaft of bone means?

      Ans: The shaft is the main or midsection (Diaphysis) of a long bone

23. Where is the location of metatarsals?

      Ans: Metatarsals are a group of five long bones in the foot.

24. What is the difference between strain and sprain?

       Ans: A sprain is a stretching or tearing of ligaments. A strain is stretching or tearing of muscle or tendon.

25. What is congenital amputation?

      Ans: The absence of a limb or part of a limb at birth.
